The top is Yohji Yamamoto and belonged to Slash Magazine but the skirt is one of my organza tutu-y things (and those badass LSD tights are mine, too). Ignore the fact that I look really young and a tad sickly.

Used some old school-looking wrapping paper from Kate’s Paperie to decoupage a mail tray and the really busted looking shade on a lamp Lucie and I picked up at Housing Works forever ago.

Bow and Wire Barrettes

The one on the left is made from an old costume jewelry pin of my mom’s. The right is rope-like silver wire tied in a bunch of double figure eight knots and soldered in place. This one, of course, is more badass because it allowed me to use a very hot object to make it. Somehow, I escaped with my life.

Thick silver chain with a quite large clasp in the back. Can also be made with ribbon closure and altered to be a bit less intense. Whether that means shortening it or using fewer chains is your call.

Black Ballerina Organza Stuff

Sorry about the terrible pics, but this is an organza (two layer) tutu with oversized hook closure in the front The shirt is a fitted pima cotton tee with matching organza detailing at the neck. By “detailing,” I mean a ruched collar and big bow. If you’re not quite into the full on black ballerina thing, the skirt’s easy with a plain tee or blouse, and the tee works with whatever on bottom.

There’s really no point in detailing all the materials involved in this one, you’d get super bored half way through. The highlights though: Rope chain in a double figure 8 (should oyu find yourslf on a boat, totally helpful), large star, crystal swirl and watch charms, your initials if it’s a personal order.
